The 75.7-metre Feadship superyacht Project 822 has been launched from her drydock at Feadship’s Van Lent facility on Kaag Island. The launch began in the morning and finished in the afternoon, and the stylised mast has now been fitted to her top deck.
This is the first time the secretive superyacht has been spotted since it arrived at the shipyard’s Van Lent facility in September 2021.
Little information has been revealed about the new-build displacement motor yacht so far. It is understood that RWD is responsible for exterior and interior design, with interiors completed in collaboration with Susan Young. Pictures show an ice-white hull and superstructure, classic flared bow and gently curving lines.
Key numbers of the steel-and-aluminium build include a beam of 13.6 metres and a gross tonnage of 2,220.
The vessel is joined by 15 other vessels launched or under construction across Feadship’s facilities, including the 72-metre Project Sakura, which was being built on speculation before selling after just six weeks on the market.
Including Project 822, there are a total of four Feadships set to be delivered in 2023.
